We're Building the Platform We Wished Existed

Our Story

Local Pass started with a simple observation: the apps we use every day weren’t built for real communities. They were built to maximize transactions, not connections. To extract value from neighborhoods, not build it.

We watched local restaurants pay 30% commissions to delivery apps while struggling to keep their doors open. We saw rideshare drivers who’d served their communities for decades losing business to surge-pricing algorithms. We noticed farmers with incredible products who couldn’t reach customers beyond the weekend market.

And we realized: what if technology could work FOR local communities instead of against them?

That’s why we’re building Local Pass — Canada’s first platform designed from the ground up to strengthen local economies, not exploit them.

What We Believe

Fairness over algorithms. We don’t believe in surge pricing or hidden fees. When you see a price, that’s the price. When drivers and restaurants set their terms, we respect them.

Connections over transactions. Every interaction on Local Pass is a chance to strengthen community bonds. A ride isn’t just a ride — it’s supporting a local driver. An order isn’t just an order — it’s keeping a neighborhood restaurant alive.

Collaboration over competition. We’re building a network where businesses grow together. The coffee shop recommends the bakery. The farm supplies the restaurant. Success is shared, not hoarded.

Canadian-made, community-owned. We’re not building this to sell to a Silicon Valley giant. We’re building it to last — a platform Canadians can be proud of and trust. Based in Victoria, British Columbia serving the beutiful communities across Canada.
