A free licence to put the Buy BC logo on your packaging: producers qualify with food 100% grown, caught or raised in BC, processors with at least 51% of processing costs in BC. Label designs are approved before printing, and the licence is the entry point to the province’s cost-shared marketing funding.

How to get it

Apply for a certification licence
On the Buy BC site, with your legal name, BC registration number and CRA business number, and each product’s name, brand and UPC or PLU code. Processors add the direct cost calculator.

Get your label approved before you print
Send your label and packaging designs with the logo for approval first.

Once you have it
- The licence is free. A marketing-only licence (for shops and markets) allows the logo on marketing, not on packaging.
