Market authorization for alcohol at farmers’ markets

Lets a brewery, winery, cidery or distillery with an on-site store sell sealed bottles and pour small samples at a farmers’ market. The market must qualify (at least six vendors who don’t sell alcohol, most of them farmers, food makers or artisans), and the local government must allow alcohol sales at markets. One authorization per market; staff need Serving It Right.

    Check the market qualifies

    At least six vendors who don’t sell alcohol, and a local government that allows liquor sales at markets.

    Apply in the Licensing Portal

    Free and approved automatically — with the market’s dates and business number. One authorization per market.

  • Display it at your stall. Everyone selling must be 19 or older with Serving It Right, and sales count as on-site store sales.
